Sports DAY! It was so much fun. The kids are so funny. Just imagine a whole bunch of Asians trying to play tug-a-war. Everyone wanted me on their team because I am so strong. I didn’t know whether to take that as a compliment or insult; never the less it was so much fun. I got really wet for the water fight. I will post pictures online hopefully this week. We lost our wireless connection completely now. The people figured out we were stealing and password protected the connection. Believe me I have been trying every night to crack the code, but it doesn’t help when they can speak Khmer. If anyone of you know ways to by pass the password PLEASE let me know. You will have lot of love from this end of the world sent to you. Matter of fact this is the first time I have been on the internet since it has gone out. Which was maybe a week and half ago. I just don’t like to pay for internet connection when I can get it free. I refuse to go to the internet shop down the road. It’s hot and sticky, I would much rather pay for a nice cooling drink from T&C (tea and coffee) down the road. They have free wireless and nice couches to relax on. I get a taro smoothie for $1.50.
So, you know how people are more independent. Well I didn’t realize how independent I was really was. Heather (room mate) is so reliant on her family and friends it’s annoying. She is always complaining how she hates it here and just wants one friend to understand. I have tried to be her friend, but you know what I don’t want to be around a complaining box. ANNOYING! In the beginning I had sympathy for her, but now I just want to slap her and tell her to grow up. Life is not a walk in the park and living in Cambodia is not the islands. It’s freaking hard and you’re guaranteed problems. NO! You know what? It doesn’t matter where you live your still going to have problems.
I love it here in Cambodian; yes I have hard days but who doesn’t? I really don’t want to go home. I guess I don’t like a routine to much. I want change in my life. If I could I would just travel all over the world. I love to experience other cultures and see how people live in other parts of the world. I am all ready thinking about when I have to leave. I just don’t want to have to do that. I love all my friends up here. They make it worth every tear, sweat and penny. I just love being here. If I could change one thing; the weather, I would like to see hot and cold. To tell you the truth I’m starting to get use to the weather. The other week I was wearing pants.
Well I hope all is well at home. Please pray for my Grandpa Bill. I just found out he has prostate cancer. Keep him in your prayers. Love You All!
